Protobytes:

Prototypes are algortihmically generated (iterative) virtual forms, based on nested mathematical expressions and programmatic drawing methods. Each protobyte is begun with a fairly simple and understandable expression, in the standard form: px = xOrigin+Math.cos(angle*Math.PI/180)*radius... Once I generate a basic and understandable form structure, I then begin combining expressions into long, dense and incomprehensible expression strings that are outside predictable bounds(at least to me.) At this point, my decision making process moves from an analytical approach to one that is aesthetically driven, and I edit the expressions iteratively until I find a desired result. Eventually I hope to add expression-based animation to the forms as well as introduce semi-autonomous morphology/behavior incorporating genetic algorithms into the process.
